Visit to the Western Cape Minister of Agriculture, Dr Ivan Meyer

Gerrit van Vuuren and Lennox Plaatjies visited the Western Cape Minister of Agriculture, Dr Ivan Meyer, yesterday. In his reflection on the visit, Lennox wrote: A greater part of my appreciation goes to the in-depth attention and focus the minister paid to suggestions and inputs from PALS on how we can collaborate to increase  opportunities for the youth of  Witzenberg’s and all other rural communities in the province for meaningful participation in the agricultural economy. The minister’s inputs and suggestions on practical development opportunities for the youth and furthering the inclusion of more black agri-entrepreneurs into the formal agricultural economy, makes sense, clearly reflecting his genuine interest and passion for the agricultural sector and for all the people working the land.
